Cosy, caring visits for your cats

Cat-only drop-in visits in your own home, so your cat can keep their usual routine and enjoy all their home comforts while you're away.

Based in Nailsea, covering North Somerset and the surrounding areas.

“We completely trusted Jess to take good care of our cats - and that's exactly what she did.”

The bit Jess understands

Your cat is happiest at home.

They know every sound, every doorway, every sunny patch.

They know where they like to sleep, where they like to play and exactly where the treats are kept.

So while you're away, they can stay in the place they know and love.

Cosy Cats provides calm, caring visits that keep their routine familiar, their needs met and their little world feeling just right.

Because every cat deserves care that feels like home.

A visit, slowly told

Not a quick feed and leave.

The practical jobs matter, but so does the feeling in the room. Each visit follows your notes, your home, and your cat's pace.

  1. Cat watching quietly from indoors
    01

    The key in the door.

I let your cat set the pace. Some come running, some watch from the stairs. Either way, affection is always on their terms.

  2. Cat waiting near a feeding area
    02

    Breakfast, dinner and fresh water.

Fresh food and water, exactly how your cat likes it. I'll follow your routine, not mine.

  3. Cat relaxed in a tidy home
    03

    Litter and a little tidy.

Clean litter trays and any little messes cleared up, so you don't come home to them.

  4. Cat ready to play
    04

    Play and fuss.

Feather toys, catnip bananas, and getting down on the floor. Cat sitting should be about more than a quick feed and leave.

  5. Cat resting safely indoors
    05

    The safety check.

Doors, windows and feeding routines carefully checked at every visit. I'm very security-conscious in your home.

  6. Cat looking towards the camera in soft light
    06

    The photo update.

Good pictures and regular updates are absolutely guaranteed! You'll know how your cat is, wherever you are.

Every visit is guided by what your cat needs that day, with a little flexibility wherever possible.

For shy, nervous and rescue cats

No forcing. No rushing. No taking it personally.

  1. A slow hello

I wait for the cat in front of me, not the idea of who they should be.

  2. Treats first

If treats are allowed, they can do the talking before I do.

  3. Their space, their pace

Stairs, doorways and hiding places are respected.

  4. Small wins, shared with you

A blink, a stretch, a first approach. You will hear about it.

About Jess

I’m the person behind Cosy Cats.

I live in Nailsea with my four rescue cats, and animals have been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember.

Through volunteering with Feline Fine Foundation and Cats in Distress, I’ve helped to rehome around 300 cats, so rescue, rehoming and adoption are all things I know well.

Alongside Cosy Cats, I’m a primary school teacher. I bring that same patience, care and reliability to every visit, taking time to get to know each cat and help them feel safe, comfortable and cosy at home.

  • Bank & public holidays

    +£3 per visit

A £3 supplement applies to visits on bank and public holidays, including Christmas Day.

Term-time availability

As well as running Cosy Cats, I work as a primary school teacher in Clevedon, so my availability is more limited during school term time.

Term-time bookings depend on your location, my working hours and availability.

I have much more flexibility during school holidays, weekends and other school breaks.

“We are so grateful that we found Jessica! We completely trusted her to take good care of our cats and that's exactly what she did. She was very caring and professional. She came to meet us and the cats beforehand to get a handover which was really helpful. We really appreciated the daily communication and photo and video updates. Over the course of the week we could really see our cats bonding with her which warmed our hearts. It was the first time for us leaving our cats so we were a bit nervous but Jess completely made us feel confident that our cats were being taken care of. Would definitely recommend Jess to anyone who wants to make sure their cats are well looked after. Thank you again Jess ❤️”

“Jessica was looking after our cats for almost 2 weeks! She was very kind and prompt from the beginning when I first messaged her! Both our girls are rather shy and antisocial with strangers first but Jessica managed to make friends with them with her gentle and loving approach! She was very flexible letting our cats outside to our garden and sitting with them outside a bit! She was keeping us updated and sent photos after every visit! We arrived home for happy cats and a tidy home! We highly recommend her and we will definitely ask her again to take care of our cats! Thank you x”

Rover
“Jessica did a fantastic job of looking after my two cats this weekend. She arranged a proper handover before we left and kept us updated throughout our trip - it was so nice to receive pictures and videos of our cats looking happy. This was my first time using a cat sitter and I really feel Jessica went above and beyond; I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her and we have already booked again for our next trip.”
